Established as industry leaders

The last decade has been a remarkable journey of continued growth. From inception, we’ve set out to redefine the standards in aviation finance and transactional advisory, becoming a trusted agent for worldwide aircraft acquisitions and financing transactions. Our innovative approach quickly positioned us at the forefront of the industry, and we are proud as to what we have achieved thus far.

2018-2022

In 2018, we officially opened our state-of-the-art headquarters in downtown Montreal, a city recognized for its historical significance and prominence in the business aviation sector.

Between 2018 and 2022, Echo strategically expanded its team by one to two hires annually, cumulatively forming our core group today of seven highly qualified professionals across all sectors of our business to help support substantive growth amogst the years. Current plans include additional key members by the end of 2025.

In 2021, we achieved a key milestone in our company’s history with our largest capital raise to date, allowing us to deploy more efficient capital and strategically react to the demand within a competitive landscape.

In 2022 we celebrated a pivitol moment in our company’s history, surpassing US $300mm in deployed capital, since inception fully dedicated to business aircraft loans and leases, and having transacted on over 75 aircraft.

2023-2024

In 2023, we achieved another notable milestone by exceeding US $150 million in active servicing accounts for third-party loans and leases, as part of our partnership with 12 financial institutions globally.

Starting in 2023 and onwards, our company entered a period of substantial growth in our brand and idendity. We are pleased to have launched a brand-new website that showcases the growth and development in our business, we implemented a tailored CRM system, and made significant investments in business transformation through innovative technology and AI tools. All in efforts to better serve our exsisting and future clients.

In the first quarter of 2024, we were thrilled to officially launch our “Green-Skies Eco Program” as part of our commitment to sustainability through Verified Carbon Offset Credit initiatives available to our clients. Furthermore, Echo is proud to have completely offset its own corporate carbon footprint and operates under a Net Zero model, given our continued efforts to make the world a greener space.

To date, the team is extreamly proud to have collectivley financed over US $5.5 billion in business aircraft originations ($834mm at Echo alone), 1,000+ aircraft sales & acquisitions, $375mm + in active pipeline opportunities and $0 in credit losses on organically originated deals over our careers.

Organic growth combined with strategic acquisitions resulting in award-winning innovations and industry excellence

Tony and Frederic’s team successfully closed on the acquisition of a US $243mm helicopter portfolio from GE Capital marked that marked a pivotal expansion into diversified aviation assets, significantly enhancing our service capabilities and market reach.

Marked an inception of a major Aircraft Inventory Finance Program with a world-class aircraft manufacturer and a leading aircraft resale firm.

Reached milestone of $1.5 billion in originations in 2014 and $2.5 billion in 2015, with a record breaking 200 aircraft transacted.

The team co-founded Element Aviation Finance, a division of Element Financial Corporation, pre-IPO, focusing on large-ticket and high-value aviation finance transactions and quickly generated $250 million in new business originations during its initial year through strategic acquisitions and innovative leasing solutions.

A growth narrative mirroring the evolution of the business aviation industry

GE Capital beginnings

Echo’s co-founders today, Tony and Frederic started their journey at GE Capital, where they developed essential financing skills that later fueled Element and Echo’s growth. They started out in the GE Capital Canada Equipment Financing Team, building expertise in the equipment financing space, through increasing sales and growing mangaerial skills. Tony and Fred were quickly promoted to GE Canada’s Corporate Aircraft Finance Division, as respectived Group Senior Vince President and Senior Sales Leader. Their leadership led to double digit growth and essentially doubling of GE’s Canadian aircraft financed portfolio to US $1.5 billion and their reputation quickly became established for excellence. Their team were named the most profitable vertical of GE Capital Canada in 2007.
